Honoré Gaming and PMU, both well-known and respected sports betting companies, have done business together in the past. Now they are once again joining forces to enter Senegal’s booming horserace betting market.
PMU, Pari Mutuel Urbain, is known as one of France’s leading sports betting operators. Specializing in horserace betting, PMU also has operations in much of French-speaking Africa. Recently, PMU struck a deal with the Senegalese National Lottery, Lonase, to secure a betting license in the country.
Their goal is to bring the same quality horse races and betting prospects to Senegal that PMU delivers to its French customers. Honoré Gaming, in turn, will be providing their sportsbook, betting platform, and online services.
A Leading Betting Brand
Honoré Gaming is a popular omnichannel and multiproduct online sports betting platform and solutions provider. As a French company, it provides many of its products and services to operators in French-speaking countries around Africa.
Christophe Casavona, Honoré Gaming’s Chief Operating Officer, is very pleased to be working with PMU again. He is looking forward to great success in Senegal and a lengthy and fruitful partnership. Aside from gaining a solid foothold in Senegal, he also hopes that their venture will inspire African entrepreneurs. African-owned business, he believes, is integral to further growth in the country’s already bustling betting market.
Africa on the Rise
With the global growth in e-commerce, computer science, and online betting, Africa has become a major sports betting hotspot. Many African governments have also begun to realize the huge benefit that a well-regulated betting industry can bring.
World sports, including horseracing, are also beginning to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. Analysts predict that, at the current rate, Africa might soon become world leaders in sports betting. Honoré Gaming and PMU hope to help make that possibility a reality.
