Betway is an online betting and gambling operator that’s fully focused on responsible gambling, safety, and compliance.
The iGaming giant recently strengthened this focus when it expanded its existing partnership with the online gaming tech giant, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG).
The partnership has its focus on the African continent and will authorize Betway to make use of GiG’s “Comply” compliance toolset in Africa.
About GiG Comply
GiG Comply is an enormously valuable tool for the safety-first online betting operator.
Its efficiency comes from the fact that it is customizable for matching the local legislation of a particular region. From an operator’s point of view, this means 100% compliance no matter where in the regulated world they do business.
This tool is so versatile that it can be tweaked to check compliance with local advertising and marketing standards and regulations.
This means that Betway, with the help of GiG, will now be able to put together their own criteria for wherever they are in Africa. These criteria are set as specific parameters for scanning online content. This means “code red” iGaming words will immediately be flagged. As will African affiliates who are stepping out of line in terms of local legal compliance.
Safety the Key Priority
As mentioned before, the bulk of the focus of the expanded partnership will be on bettor safety and responsible gambling.
According to Chad Bates, Betway’s Head of Marketing in Africa, the partnership with GiG has created a significant opportunity for the company to become even more notable as a leader in the industry – and in terms of safety and fair play.
Betway first started using GiG’s Comply product in September last year. The deal already back then spanned several world markets.
Betway has furthermore been doing its bit for safety and compliance with its recent link-up with the Sports Writers Association of Ghana. Betway will in the future be working with the association via a series of educational programs focused on safe gambling.
To this end, Betway expects to deliver a much-needed service to local communities in Ghana. The company has expressed excitement at the many possibilities that this brings.
